An exciting and informative week for Sheila, Vinny and Alex at the USHJA Gold Star Clinic - East

With the Northeast frozen solid over Christmas and New Years, Sheila, Vinny and Alex escaped to Wellington to participate in the USHJA Emerging Jumper/Rider Gold Star Clinic (by virtue of S&V winning the Zone 2 Jumper Championships at Princeton Show Jumping).  Four days jam packed with riding and horsemanship clinics, led by the incomparable Richard Spooner (seen here winning in Las Vegas in November).  An amazing experience for all of the athletes involved, a great way to send off 2017 in style, and another reminder that it is critical to always keep learning, even as an accomplished rider or a trainer.  Thanks to USHJA and everyone involved for making this incredible clinic possible for Sheila, Vinny & Veritas.

Read more about the clinic here and see a list of the top athletes who competed here.

A busy couple of weeks......

Lots of great stuff going on.

--Sheila and the incomparable Vinny (Sloberino?) were featured in The Chronicle.  Well deserved recognition of a great team!

xxGreat rides and ribbons at Princeton.

-- Rockette won both 1.10 classes.

-- Tangelo was second in the meter.

-- Co-Star won at .90, and took third at 1.0 with Julia, moving up for the first time.  Great job!

-- Leo had good ribbons, including blues.

-- Solara was champion at 1.20.

-- Tiki had blues (and shame).

xxGreat rides and ribbons at The Ridge

--In the low child/adult, Co-Star/Julia, Rockette/Sarah, Tangelo/Madison, all had great rides and ribbons, including blues.  And great rides and ribbons for Vodette/Grace and Rockette/Sarah in the high child/adult.  Hard work and sticking to the plan paying off!

Thank you to Princeton Show Jumping, and The Ridge, as always great places to show.  And thanks to Meredith and Laura!

Another solid weekend at Princeton

Some great rides and continued progress this weekend at Princeton Show Jumping.  Sarah Hobbs and Rockette moved up and were reserve champion with a win and a second place, Julia Tanaka's Leo was solid in the eq, taking home a blue ribbon, and Emily Goldman and the incomparable Flo had good rounds and nabbed good ribbons!  Well done all around, and thanks to the entire crew at Princeton for another great weekend showing.

The 2017 Devon Fall Classic is in the books!

Congrats to Grace Bendl and Vodette, and Sheila Sadighi and Ulano, for their solid rides and good ribbons, including blues on Saturday and ribbons in the classic on Sunday.  On to Princeton.........

Congrats on an awesome weekend at Princeton Show Jumping!

A great showing this weekend for Sheila Sadighi and Ulano and Madison Marano and Tangelo, with Sheila and Vinny taking home the individual and team USHJA Zone 1 & 2 championship, and Madison and Z taking home ribbons and competing with grace and skill.  Keep up the good work (and stay cool)!
